About This Course
Research is central to the development of nursing knowledge, improvement of clinical practice, and evaluation of healthcare interventions. Research Methodology I introduces nursing students to the principles and processes involved in conducting systematic scientific inquiry. The course covers the foundations of research methodology, the nature and significance of research, nursing research, identification of research problems, formulation of research questions and objectives, and fundamental approaches to research design. Students will develop skills in reading and evaluating research literature, linking evidence to nursing practice, and planning ethically responsible studies. The course provides a foundation for evidence-based nursing practice and further study in research methodology.
