About This Course

Reproductive Health I introduces nursing students to the biological, social, and healthcare principles that influence reproductive wellbeing across the lifespan. The course covers reproductive anatomy and physiology, sexuality, fertility, family planning, sexually transmitted infections, reproductive rights, and common factors affecting reproductive health. Students will learn to assess reproductive health needs, provide appropriate education and counselling, recognize conditions requiring further care, and support informed health decisions. Particular consideration is given to confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, prevention, early intervention, and respectful communication, preparing students to provide safe and appropriate reproductive healthcare to individuals, families, and communities.
