About This Course
Physics provides nursing students with an understanding of the scientific principles behind many processes encountered in the human body and modern healthcare. The course explores concepts such as force, motion, pressure, heat, sound, electricity, light, fluids, and radiation, relating them to clinical practice and medical equipment. Students will connect physical principles with blood pressure measurement, body mechanics, oxygen delivery, diagnostic imaging, electrical safety, and other aspects of patient care. Through practical healthcare examples, the course develops the scientific understanding needed to use clinical equipment safely, interpret basic measurements, and appreciate the physical processes underlying nursing practice.
